Advising

Instructions for Student Advising

The College of Engineering engages in a shared advising model to assist students in building a strong academic and social support network throughout their collegiate experience. Incoming first-year engineering students are assigned an academic advisor in either First-Year Engineering Program (FEP) or Engineering One-Stop (EOS), and most students will be advised by an EOS academic advisor in their spring semester. Depending on their chosen major and degree progress, students will begin meeting with a faculty advisor in their department after 1-2 years of study.

Current engineering students should connect with their academic advisor through UASuccess or through email. Transfer students or students changing into engineering are assigned an advisor based on their math placement and degree progress. Some students will be advised by faculty in engineering departments and some by academic advisors in Engineering One-Stop. Students considering changing into engineering should email eos@uark.edu or call 479-575-4540.  Incoming transfer students should contact Chrisopher Robinson carobins@uark.edu, using their @uark.edu email account.
