Soaring High in Engineering
2025 Theme: Amusement Park
Get ready for a week of thrills and creativity at the Soaring High in Engineering summer camp! Designed for current 7th-8th grade girls, this year’s Amusement Park theme invites campers to design and build their own exciting attractions. From roller coasters and water rides to innovative park layouts, students will explore the principles of physics, engineering, and design in a fun, hands-on environment. Team projects and problem-solving challenges will inspire confidence, collaboration, and a love for STEM. Whether you dream of creating the next big ride or learning how engineering shapes the world around us, this camp is the perfect adventure!
Eligibility and Application
All students entering the 8th or 9th grade during the 2025-2026 school year are eligible to apply.
Camp Dates and Times
June 9-13, 2025
8:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day

Drop-Off 8 AM-8:30 AM

Pick-Up 4:30 PM - 5 PM
Cost
Join us for a fun-filled week at camp! The program fee of $300 covers snacks, a t-shirt, insurance, and other camp-related expenses. While lunch is not included, students should bring their own each day. If this poses a financial challenge, please reach out to us before the camp starts so we can explore alternative arrangements.
Fees are due upon registration, but scholarships are available thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. Don't let finances stand in the way of a memorable camp experience!

This camp is held on the University of Arkansas campus. More specific information will be provided 3 weeks prior to your arrival.

*STEM education researchers have devoted substantial effort toward developing, implementing, and assessing strategies that encourage the persistence of women, especially those from underrepresented groups in STEM fields. While our Soaring High in Engineering and GirlTREC camps are designed to integrate these proven pedagogical strategies that are especially aligned with the needs and interests of young women, we welcome any student to participate in camp activities.
