Purpose of the Next-Gen Transportation Research Working Group
Next-Gen Transportation is grounded in the recognition that modern mobility solutions must be robust across multiple environments, from dense urban centers to rural logistics corridors.

- AI & Data-Driven Systems
Goals:
- Catalyze interdisciplinary research on next-generation transportation systems across passenger, freight, and air domains
- Foster collaboration among faculty from engineering and related disciplines
- Accelerate proposal development targeting federal agencies including NSF, USDOT, DOE, and DOD
- Enhance the visibility and impact of the University of Arkansas in national and international transportation research initiatives
