Girls in STEM

Girls in STEM is an initiative through the Museum of Discovery that aims to address the gender gap in Arkansas’ STEM workforce by igniting and fueling a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in young Arkansan girls through accessible dynamic interactions with local women STEM professionals.

Throughout the week of camp, participants will interact with women STEM mentors in group sessions where mentors share their career journeys and host hands-on activities related to their field. There will be competitions, crafts, experiments, demonstrations, and more!

Eligibility and Application

All participants between 12-14 years old are eligible to apply.

June 9-13, 2025
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day

Cost

Girls in STEM is free for all participants thanks to thanks to the Arconic Foundation and the University of Arkansas College of Engineering. Their support covers essentials like supplies, snacks, a camp t-shirt, and insurance. Lunch is provided.

Registration is run by the Discovery Museum so, all questions regarding registration and payment can be directed to the contact below.

Location

This camp is held on the University of Arkansas campus. More specific information will be provided 3 weeks prior to your arrival.
