Jingxian Wu received the B.S. (EE) degree from the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing, China, in 1998, the M.S. (EE) degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2001, and the Ph.D. (EE) degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia, MO, USA, in 2005. Dr. Wu joined Sonoma State University (SSU), Rohnert Park, CA, as an Assistant Professor in August 2005. During his appointment at SSU, he served as the director for Agilent Technologies Communication Laboratory and AFC Access Technologies Laboratory. In August 2008, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, at the rank of Assistant Professor. He also serves as the director for the Wireless Information Network Laboratory at the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Wu is currently serving as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology. He served as the Wireless Communication Symposium Co-Chair for IEEE Globecom 2009, and the Student Travel Grant Chair for IEEE ICC 2010. Since 2006, he has served as a technical program committee member for a number of international conferences, including IEEE Globecom 2006, 2007, 2009, IEEE ICC 2007, 2008, 2009, IEEE ANTS 2008, and IEEE WCNC 2007, 2008. Dr. Wu’s research interests cover the broad scope of wireless information networks, including cooperative communications, distributed space-time-frequency coding, network information theory, cross-layer optimization, distributed communication and computing systems, wireless sensor networks, multicarrier communications, performance analysis, etc. Dr. Wu’s research results have led to 2 U.S. patents, and over 40 publications in the area of Wireless Communications and Digital Signal Processing.
