In the U of A College of Engineering, we welcome well-prepared transfer students into our program. In an effort to make it easier on you, this PDF illustrates the general education courses required for each engineering degree. You do not need to complete all of these courses before you transfer as we offer this solely as a guide. NOTE: Please look at the Course Equivalency Guide to ensure a course taken at another institution will count toward our engineering degree.
The best advice we can offer you as a prospective transfer student is to communicate early and often with a U of A advisor to ensure you stay on track to enter our program and succeed. To request more information or if you have questions please contact Bryan Hill, assistant dean at firstname.lastname@example.org or 479.575.7236 or Eric Specking, director of recruitment at email@example.com or 479-575-7780. Once you are admitted to U of A and have received a “transfer credit report” please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, student ID number and the area of engineering you would like to study. An advising appointment in person, via email or phone will be arranged.
Students enrolled at an Arkansas community college can take advantage of the STEM Preparation Program. This program provides online science, engineering and math classes for students interested in pursuing a degree in one of those areas.
Classes will count toward an associate's degree at the student's community college and an engineering, science or math bachelor's degree at the University of Arkansas. You can also transfer the courses to other colleges and universities, inside or outside the state of Arkansas. Learn more.
